Hi! My name's Ian. Originally from Boston's North Shore, I have been a artist for as long as I can remember before I could even write, I used to dictate plays to my Mom and Dad who would read them back to me and then perform them with me in the living room!
As much fun as it was to write and perform shows with my parents, it was stepping on a stage for the first time that made me feel most alive. Fast forward through years of shows at Boston Children's Theatre, NYU/Tisch, and regional theatres including North Shore Music Theatre, ACT of Connecticut, and Williamstown Theatre Festival---I am now an actor, and full time buffoon, based in New York.
I love all kinds of art and I love to be inspired in surprising ways and by unsuspecting muses. Currently I'm finding inspiration from "Chef's Table" on NETFLIX, the Rockefeller Collection at Christie's, and the entirety of the West Elm catalogue.
I like to make people laugh, I like to see people smile, and I try to surprise myself every day. The opportunity to do all of those things onstage is what I work so hard for every day.
When people ask me, "how are you?" I usually answer with "living the dream." It often evokes a chuckle from the other person as sometimes I sound sarcastic, sometimes I sound over it, but at the core I really do mean what I say. It is a thrill to be able to pursue what I love every day and I'm grateful that you are taking the time to learn more about me!
